Review: Pacifica Aquarian Gaze Water-Resistant Mascara

There have been a few clean mascaras that I have tried with no success. I tend to have very sensitive and watery eyes and every mascara I have tried that has been clean has seeped into my eyes and cause a few moments of intense burning followed by naked eyelashes. 
 
On a recent shopping trip to my local Target I saw this particular Pacifica mascara and gave it a whirl. I'm so glad I did. 
 
The price was $13.99 but if you are a cartwheel user there are often savings on Pacifica items. $13.99 for a clean mascara really is a great price, adding savings on top of that is just a great bonus. 
 
The formula itself is fairly dry. I prefer drier formulas as I find they go on cleaner. This mascara is wonderfully buildable. You can go with one coat (as my mother prefers) or three plus (as I prefer). There is no flaking while building and no flaking during wear. It's a beautiful formula. The best part for me is that is works. It is actually water resistant. I have cried numerous times while wearing this and even in the instances that there were a lot of tears and blotting with tissue. . . very little product was lost there was plenty that needed to be taken off at the end of the day.
 
How are the ingredients? They are fairly clean. There are only two questionable ingredients and on a score from 0 being non-toxic to 10 being hella toxic the two ingredients in question rate a 4 and a 6. Considering we are talking about a water-resistant and otherwise beautiful ingredients and product - I'll take it. 
 
My recommendation: If you have been searching for a water-resistant clean mascara this isn't perfect in score but it is perfect in just about every other way grab this one and enjoy!
