Essential Oil Perfume Recipes
Going no/low tox doesn’t mean you have to give up loving pretty scents. I had a basket of perfumes I loved and a hutch stocked with scented candles that used daily. After learning just how toxic those are for the human body I retired my perfumes and threw out the scented candles. I replaced the candles with essential oils and diffusers and I replaced my perfumes with essential oil blends.
More than pretty scents
The oils are more than just lovely scents. They are useful in many ways - one of those is emotional well-being. One of the ways I use oils is to have scents that bring me back to center that I wear as perfumes. These oils don’t have to be the main scent. They can simply be in the blend and they will have the same effect.
Anchoring with essential oils
Have you ever smelled a scent you used to wear and all the memories came rushing back? You can create blends for certain moments in your life and then when you look back those memories will be anchored for you for as long as you hold the memories. You can use this for certain times in life, certain seasons, or very specific times like a particular vacation.

It’s that time of year again. Spring is in full bloom and the insects are making their home a little too close. (i.e. inside my home)…
